This year’s Game Music Festival is enhanced with a unique competition for young composers partnering with Opera GX gaming browser. Winners will claim a brand new award including financial rewards, worldwide publicity, and further contract opportunities.

The GMF High Score competition aims to support the development of talented artists who want to pursue a career in video game audio. The submitted pieces of music will be judged by a jury consisting of world-class composers. Winners shall receive many prizes, including a cooperation opportunity with Opera GX gaming browser, the partner of this year’s competition.  In parallel to the main competition, fans will be able to vote on the soundtrack which will get the audience award. Names of all winners will be announced during the official gala of Game Music Festival in October (also transmitted online), as well as in media channels of both GMF and Opera GX.

Participants of GMF High Score Competition 2020 will have to compose a brief musical piece illustrating the unique user experience related to browsing the web with Opera GX. This provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity of scoring an internet browser dedicated to gamers.
